Pick Your Poison highlights pharmacology's deep roots in toxicology, explores the cultural significance of poison, and offers insight into the potential dangers lurking in your own backyard!
Join Patrick Ford, Reference and Cataloging Librarian at the Lloyd Library & Museum, as he delves into the contradictions and mysteries of poisonous plants and presents striking botanical illustrations and foundational toxicology texts dating back to the 16th century. After the presentation will be drinks and a chance to explore Krohn Conservatory and the current fall show 'A Healing Garden'.
Tickets will include entry to Krohn at 7:00pm as well as 1 drink. Additional drinks may be purchased for $6 at the event. Presentation will begin at 7:15.
This is a 21 and older event. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted to attend. IDs must be presented at the door to enter.
