Let’s celebrate International Bat Week at LaBoiteaux Woods Nature Center. Join us for a fun afternoon of family and kid-oriented experiences. Learn fun facts about the only true flying mammal: bats with interactive displays, batty games, and bat crafts. We will share how bats help us enjoy some of our favorite foods and drinks, are an economic boon for farmers, and are excellent for pest control. Take home plans for making a bat box for your home to welcome these beneficial creatures of the night. Stay to hike on your own on the rugged trails, enjoy the picnic area, etc.

Let’s celebrate International Bat Week at LaBoiteaux Woods Nature Center. We will learn about bats from local bat rehabilitator Anita Buck. After a slide show presentation, we will head out to the field to see if we can spot some of our flying mammal friends. Anita will bring a live bat, if one is available – always a treat to see one up close! Online registration is required for this event.
