Curbside Yard Waste Pickup Makes Fall Cleanup Easy

Curbside yard waste is collected every other week, on the same day as your recycling, through January 15. Use paper yard waste bags or labeled cans weighing 25 pounds or less, or bundle branches with twine. Plastic bags and carts won’t be collected.
Keeping yard waste out of the trash supports the Zero Waste focus area of the Green Cincinnati Plan.
The gist: Bag it in paper, set it out on recycling day, and help Cincinnati move toward zero waste.

City Departments Rock the Block at Clark Montessori

On Friday, October 30, City departments showed up "City Style" at Clark Montessori School for Rock the Block, connecting with students to showcase their work and share career opportunities with the City of Cincinnati.
The day included a panel for juniors and seniors and the traditional Rock the Block for 7th and 8th graders, where departments set up tables with interactive activities and demonstrations to give students a hands-on look at the work it takes to keep Cincinnati running. Clark students also left their mark by painting a City snowplow, so keep an eye out for it on the streets this winter.
The gist: Rock the Block gave local students a first look at what it means to be part of Team Cincinnati.
