Join Friends of French Park and learn about the different firefly species at French Park. This hike will include exploration of the different colors and flash patterns. Learn how to tell different species apart.
The hike is an approximately 1.75-mile-long loop and will occur in darkness. Study walking shoes/boots and flashlights/headlamps with red light mode are recommended. Firefly emergence is temperature dependent, and population level may vary. This event will still occur with light rain. An email will be sent prior to the event if there are any changes.

Northside Greenspace Inc. is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization founded to identify, preserve and restore natural areas in Northside and surrounding Cincinnati, Ohio communities.
Workshops and lectures provide information concerning the issues and processes influencing our community natural areas. Our field trips provide community members with the opportunity to experience the beauty and interest of nature.
Volunteer work projects provide hands on learning experiences for community members and result in tangible improvements to our greenspaces. Our advocacy alerts public and private agencies and individuals to what they can and should be doing to conserve and improve greenspaces.
